Call for Nominations/Applications for ICMR Awards & Prizes- 2020

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invites Nominations/Applications from Indian
scientists for ICMR Awards & Prizes for the year 2020 (list given below)
in various fields of biomedical sciences.

Last date of receipt of Nominations/Applications (for both hard and soft copies): 30th July, 2021 (Friday) by 05:30pm

List of ICMR Awards/Prizes for the year 2020

1. ICMR Basanti Devi Amir Chand Prize (Biomedical Sciences)
2. ICMR Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize (Clinical Research) - Age below 40 years (Number of prizes – four)
3. ICMR Dr. Subhas Mukherjee Award (Assisted Reproductive Technology, Reproductive Biology & Endocrinology and Reproductive Health in General)
4. ICMR Amrut Mody Unichem Prize (Maternal & Child Health)
5. ICMR Dr. H.B. Dingley Memorial Award (Paediatrics) – Age below 40 years.
6. ICMR Kshanika Oration Award (Biomedical Sciences) – for Indian women scientists
7. ICMR Prize for Biomedical Research for Scientists belonging to underprivileged communities (Biomedical Sciences)
8. ICMR Prize for Biomedical Research conducted in underdeveloped areas – (Biomedical Sciences)
9. ICMR Tilak Venkoba Rao Award     (Reproductive Physiology) - Age below 40 years
10. ICMR JALMA Trust Fund Oration Award (Leprosy and other mycobacterial diseases)
11. ICMR Major General Saheb Singh Sokhey Award (Communicable Diseases) – Age below 40 years
12. ICMR Smt. Kamal Satbir Award (Non-tuberculosis Chest Diseases, especially Respiratory Allergy and Chronic Obstructive Lung Diseases) - Age below 40 years
13. ICMR BGRC Silver Jubilee Oration Award – (Haematology/Immunohaematology)
14. ICMR Dr. C.G.S.Iyer Oration Award - (Leprosy) - Age below 40 years
15. ICMR Dr. Dharamvir Datta Memorial Oration Award – (Liver Diseases in India) - Age below 40 years
16. ICMR Drs. Kunti & Om Prakash Oration Award – (Basic Sciences)
17. ICMR Dr. M.K. Seshadri Prize– (Community Medicine)
18. ICMR Dr. P.N. Raju Oration Award – Medicine (Infectious Diseases) – Preferably a medical person
19. ICMR Dr. T.Ramachandra Rao Award – (Medical Entomology) - Age below 40 years
20. ICMR Dr. Vidya Sagar Award – (Mental Health)
21. ICMR Dr. V.N. Patwardhan Prize – (fundamental, clinical or field studies in Nutritional Sciences) - Age below 40 years
22. ICMR Dr. Y.S. Narayana Rao Oration Award – (Microbiology)
23. ICMR Lala Ram Chand Kandhari Award – (Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases)
24. ICMR M.N. Sen Oration Award – Practice of Medicine (clinical, laboratory or therapeutic).
25. ICMR Novartis Oration Award – (Cancer)
26. ICMR Prof. B.C. Srivastava Foundation Award– (Community Medicine carried out in medical colleges/recognized institutions) - Age below 40 years
27. ICMR Prof. B.K. Aikat Oration Award – (Tropical Diseases)
28. ICMR Prof. Surindar Mohan Marwah Award – (Geriatrics)
29. ICMR CNMC STS Excellence Award (for medical undergraduate student who has been awarded ICMR STS)   [For detailed information, please click here]  

Important Notes:-

1. If any information submitted above is found to be incorrect or that there has been suppression of any material information in the application form by the applicant and if it comes to our notice then the application is liable to be summarily rejected.
2. Application received in the office after the due date, by whatever reason, is liable to be rejected.
3. Kindly attach reprints of published research papers with each set of application. Application must be properly tagged or spiral binding. Loose and incomplete application will be not entertained (for Award S. No. 1 to 28).
4. Scientist can apply only for one award for the year 2020.
5. Five (05) sets of hard copies of the complete applications with enclosures as required, should be submitted (for Award S.no. 1 to 28), along with the complete soft copy (single file in PDF format only) sent by email to: ginu.skhan@icmr.gov.in and cc to mpdicmr@gmail.com latest by 30th July, 2021 (by 05:30pm).
